As you may recall from this changelog post in 2021, we migrated from the legacy billing system used in our Packet days to our next generation billing system powered by Kill Bill, the open source billing and payments platform. After spending cycles for the last year finishing up these migrations and up-leveling the foundations of the billing platform, we’re pleased to announce the release of some quality-of-life enhancements requested by many of you during the course of this transition:
- Organization Owners, Admins, and Billing Admins can now download their Billing Account PDF invoice directly from the Console. Previously, this was only available via email during each billing cycle, and is now available for on-demand download via the Console.
- Owners, Admins, and Billing Admins can also download a CSV export which details the Service line items that tie to a given billing period / Billing Account PDF. This CSV file will give detailed breakdowns of services across an Organization’s Projects.
- Renamed the Billingsection of the Organization management toBilling Account.
- Removed HTML pages for viewing Service line items for a given billing period. Users can download the CSV for their respective billing period to view these line items going forward.
